Florida opossum breaks into liquor store, gets drunk on bourbon
An opossum that clearly drank whiskey in the wake of breaking into a Florida alcohol store calmed down at a natural life protect focus and was discharged unharmed.
Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge authorities say the opossum was gotten by a Fort Walton Beach, Florida, cop on Nov. 24. An alcohol store worker found the creature besides a broken and exhaust jug of whiskey.
“A specialist there found the opossum up on a rack beside an aired out container of alcohol with nothing in it,” said Michelle Pettis, a professional at the asylum. “She unquestionably wasn’t completely acting ordinary.”
Pettis told the Panama City News Herald the female opossum seemed perplexed, was too much salivating and was pale. The staff drew the marsupial loaded with liquids and watched over her as she calmed down.
“We stacked her up with liquids to help flush out any liquor poisons,” Pettis said. “She was great two or after three days.”
Pettis says the opossum did not seem to have an aftereffect.
The store proprietor, Cash Moore, says he never had an opossum soften up.
“She rolled in all things considered and was up in the rafters, and when she came through she thumped a jug of alcohol off the rack,” Moore said. “When she got down on the floor she drank the entire damn jug.”
“In any case, it just demonstrates that even the creatures are awed with Cash’s,” he said.
The creature was discharged on Thursday.
